Role Overview: Junior Fashion Graphic Designer
We are seeking a Junior Fashion Graphic Designer to join our Trend & Design team at Mr Price Sport. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of sports fashion by conceptualizing and creating artwork for our apparel, footwear, and equipment ranges. If you’re passionate about sports fashion and ready to contribute your creative ideas to the design process, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- 🎨 Develop New Styles: Work under the guidance of the Buyer to conceptualize, plan, and develop new styles or upgrade existing styles based on customer demand and seasonal strategies.
- ✂️ Supplier Coordination: Compile tech packs with detailed product information to assist suppliers in costings and production.
- 🎨 Design Approvals: Assist in the print and color approvals process to ensure designs align with seasonal strategies.
- 📑 Marketing Support: Help prepare marketing briefs, inspiration boards, and merchandising magazines (VM).
- 🏷️ Packaging & Branding: Update packaging, labeling, and branding in line with seasonal strategies.
- 🔍 Trend Research: Conduct competitor analysis and stay updated on the latest trends in fashion, fabrications, and colors.
- 🏬 Store Visits: Visit stores to assess product execution and ensure designs meet expectations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: A Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Clothing Technology, or Graphic Design.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in clothing design (preferred).
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign CS5; excellent time management, communication, and presentation skills.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of garment construction and fashion design trends.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for design.
