  • Junior Technician Role Description

    Role Summary:

    We are hiring a Junior Technician to join our team, providing an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical operations. The ideal candidate must possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive learning attitude.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform servicing and general maintenance of UPS units, batteries, inverters, and fire suppression systems adhering to health and safety standards.
    • Ensure safe and compliant UPS installations and execute correct commissioning procedures as per OEM guidelines.
    • Ensure installations meet specific requirements and electrical regulations.
    • Repair damaged units following manufacturer standards and using appropriate spare parts.
    • Conduct thorough testing of UPS units, including mechanical checks, voltage calibration, load testing, and battery performance assessment.
    • Respond promptly to client UPS issues and provide technical support as required.
    • Undertake additional work related to the role as assigned.

    Skills and Experience Required:

    • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in UPS operations and projects.
    • Proficient in electrical engineering concepts with a Grade 12 certificate and Electrical Engineering Certificate.
    • Preferably hold an Electrical Engineering Diploma and have specific experience in the UPS environment.
    • ABB qualification is advantageous.
    • Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to collaborate.
