🧾 Job Overview

The Laundry Assistant will manage short-stay linen processing and internal student laundry support, ensuring clean, organized, and hygienic linen at all times. You will operate laundry equipment safely, maintain quality, and support housekeeping operations.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, iron, fold, and sort short-stay linen in line with CampusKey standards

• Process internal student laundry and ensure hygiene compliance

• Operate and maintain laundry machines (washers, dryers, irons, presses) safely

• Monitor linen quality; report damaged or worn items

• Maintain stock counts, organise laundry area, and reduce loss/damage

• Follow hygiene, infection control, and safety procedures

• Report daily progress, equipment issues, or operational delays

• Support the setup of future commercial laundry services

📚 Qualifications

Education:

• Relevant hospitality or laundry qualification

• Matric (Grade 12) preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year in hotel, accommodation, or hospitality laundry operations

Skills:

• Knowledge of industrial laundry equipment

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Attention to detail and hygiene standards

• Physically capable and team-oriented

• Good communication skills
