Job Overview

The 2026/2027 Unemployed Learnership offers young unemployed individuals an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised occupational qualification while acquiring practical workplace experience. Over a 12-month period, learners will be trained and exposed to real operational environments within the logistics and supply chain sector, enhancing their employability and career readiness.


Responsibilities

  • Attend structured classroom-based theoretical and practical training sessions.

  • Participate in daily logistics and supply chain operational activities.

  • Apply learned concepts in a real workplace environment.

  • Complete all required assessments and learning tasks.

  • Prepare for and write the EISA examination at the end of the programme.

  • Maintain professional conduct and comply with company policies and procedures.

  • Work Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:00, with overtime as operationally required.


Qualifications

Education

  • Matric Certificate with a minimum 50% pass rate.

Experience

  • No prior work experience required.

  • Applicants must be unemployed at the time of application and appointment.

Skills

  • Basic literacy and numeracy competence.

  • Willingness to learn and grow within a structured programme.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and time management.

  • Interest in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain operations.


Learnership Structure

  • Classroom training conducted one week per month.

  • Practical workplace exposure in an operational environment.

  • Continuous monitoring and assessment throughout the programme.

  • Final EISA examination for occupational certification.

  • Monthly stipend provided to assist with travel-related costs.
