The City of Ekurhuleni is offering two targeted learnerships as part of its youth development strategy:


🔹 1. Learnership: Local Economic Development (LED)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (or equivalent qualification)

  • Aged between 18 and 35 years

  • Proficient in English

Selection Criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen

  • Must be a resident of Ekurhuleni (proof of residence required)

  • Must be currently unemployed

  • Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply

  • Strong communication skills with community involvement

  • Willingness to undergo training and placement through external providers


🔹 2. Learnership: Contractor Development (CONT)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (or equivalent qualification)

  • Aged between 18 and 28 years

  • Fluent in English

  • Computer literate

Selection Criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen

  • Must be a resident of Ekurhuleni (proof of residence required)

  • Must be currently unemployed

  • Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Open to attending training and placement opportunities
