Job Overview

RCL Foods is seeking a Learning and Development Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of training and development initiatives.

This role plays a critical function in managing learning systems, coordinating training programmes, ensuring SETA compliance, and supporting organisational capability building. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, training providers, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective delivery and reporting of learning activities.


Key Responsibilities

Learning Coordination & Programme Delivery

  • Coordinate and schedule training programmes across the business, including senior management initiatives
  • Manage training logistics such as venues, travel, catering, and materials
  • Maintain training documentation including attendance registers and invoices
  • Ensure timely communication with employees and training providers

Digital Learning & Systems Management

  • Manage LMS and e-learning platforms, including backend administration
  • Provide user support and troubleshoot system issues
  • Track engagement, usage, and completion rates of digital learning
  • Build and manage curated e-learning pathways

Learning Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate training records for audits (B-BBEE, ISO, SARS, SETA)
  • Conduct system audits to ensure compliance and data integrity
  • Participate in internal and external audits and implement improvements

SETA & SDF Support

  • Support Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) submissions
  • Assist with discretionary grant applications and claims
  • Liaise with SETAs (e.g., FoodBevSETA, AgriSETA) for compliance and reporting
  • Track grants, payments, and reporting schedules

Budget & Reporting

  • Monitor and track L&D budgets and expenditure
  • Prepare financial and utilisation reports
  • Support forecasting and budget planning processes

Stakeholder Management

  • Build relationships with internal teams and external training providers
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to drive learning participation
  • Support communication and adoption of learning initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field

Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in Learning & Development, training coordination, or similar role

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms
  • Strong data management and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
