Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated Learning and Development Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential administrative support for learning and development initiatives, ensure compliance with South African labour legislation, and contribute to the organisation’s skills development goals in line with the Skills Development Act, Employment Equity Act, and B-BBEE framework.
Key Responsibilities
Learning and Development Administration:

Coordinate internal and external training programmes, managing logistics, bookings, and attendance tracking.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and employee development plans within HR systems.

Support the preparation and submission of the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) to relevant SETAs.

Administer learnerships, internships, and bursary programmes aligned with B-BBEE targets and organisational needs.

Compile training evaluations and feedback reports to measure training effectiveness.

Assist with documentation preparation for training audits and SETA verifications.
HR Audit and Compliance Administration:

Ensure employee files and records comply with POPIA and audit standards, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Support preparation and updating of compliance reports, including Employment Equity (EE) reports and B-BBEE evidence documentation.

Organise and support Employment Equity Committee meetings through logistics and documentation.

Assist internal audit processes by compiling requested HR documents and monitoring resolution of findings.

Maintain statutory reporting records (UIF, SARS PAYE, SDL, COIDA).

Monitor compliance checklists and update HR dashboards for accurate reporting.
Legislative Compliance:

Adhere to South African labour legislation including:

Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)

Labour Relations Act (LRA)

Employment Equity Act (EEA)

B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice

Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)

Qualifications & Experience
-
Matric (Grade 12) minimum; National Diploma in Human Resource Management or Business Administration preferred.

ETDP SETA short course or similar knowledge is advantageous.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR administration or compliance role.

Experience working with HR information systems and databases.

Familiarity with SETA reporting and B-BBEE verification processes is preferred.
