The Cross-Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) regulates and facilitates compliant, safe, and efficient cross-border road transport in South Africa. The Agency focuses on digital solutions, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance to support trade and transport.


JOB OVERVIEW

  • The Licensing Intern will support the Licensing team in regulatory operations, help desk functions, and stakeholder engagements.

  • This role provides exposure to cross-border transport policies, account registration processes, and administration within a regulated public sector environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with help desk activities related to licensing queries.

  • Conduct research on cross-border transport policies and regulations.

  • Provide administrative support to the Licensing team.

  • Engage with operators to assist with registration and application submissions on the CrossEasy Permit System.

  • Support stakeholder engagements and communications.

  • Maintain attention to detail and ensure confidentiality in all tasks.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Transport Economics or related qualifications.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.


INTERNSHIP TIPS

  • Emphasize academic projects or coursework related to transport, logistics, or regulatory compliance.

  • Demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills.

  • Include relevant computer skills (MS Office) on your CV.
