About the Role

As a Life Orientation Teacher, you will be at the heart of creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment. Your responsibilities include:

  • ✔️ Curriculum Delivery:
    Plan, control, record, and report on assessments to track and boost student achievement.
  • ✔️ Student Engagement:
    Create a vibrant classroom atmosphere that encourages active learning and personal development.
  • ✔️ Collaborative Teamwork:
    Work closely with fellow teachers to ensure the effective running of the FET Phase and share best practices.
  • ✔️ Co-Curricular Leadership:
    Promote and manage sports, cultural activities, and discipline initiatives that enrich the overall student experience.
  • ✔️ Communication:
    Engage with parents and guardians through meetings, conferences, and regular updates to support student progress.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

  • 🎓 Academic & Professional Requirements:
    • A relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Current SACE registration.
  • 📚 Teaching Experience:
    • Proven experience in teaching Life Orientation.
    • Familiarity with IEB curriculum preferred.
  • 🛡️ Integrity:
    • A clear criminal record.
