As a Locum Physiotherapist, you’ll have the autonomy and responsibility to provide care across acute hospital, sub-acute, outpatient, and community settings.

🩺 About the Role

This locum position is ideal for experienced neurophysiotherapists who are confident and independent in their practice. You will be part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team and have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients across the rehabilitation spectrum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients with neurological conditions.

• Provide individualized therapy plans across various settings (hospital, inpatient, outpatient).

• Develop and implement rehabilitation programs focusing on mobility, gait, balance, and posture.

• Collaborate with medical professionals and caregivers to support holistic recovery.

• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and adaptive strategies.

• Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely clinical documentation.

✅ Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy

• Current HPCSA registration

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in adult neurorehabilitation

• Strong clinical assessment, reasoning, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and empathy skills

• Proficiency with clinical documentation

• South African citizenship or valid work visa

• Willingness to work both weekdays and weekends as required

Preferred:

• Valid driver’s licence and personal car

• Basic IT skills (Word, Excel)
