Job Overview

As a Lodge Reservationist, you will manage inbound reservation enquiries, create seamless booking journeys, and deliver a personalised guest experience. You will convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, upsell experiences, and build strong relationships with guests to ensure memorable stays. This role offers growth potential across the Dream Hotels & Resorts portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Reservation Management

  • Handle inbound reservations via phone, email, and online platforms.

  • Accurately confirm bookings and ensure all details are captured.

  • Manage changes, cancellations, and special requests professionally.

• Sales & Upselling

  • Understand guest needs and provide tailored recommendations.

  • Upsell lodge packages, experiences, and offerings to maximise revenue.

  • Confidently close deals while maintaining a guest-first approach.

• Guest Experience

  • Deliver a warm, personalised booking experience.

  • Build rapport with guests and make them feel valued.

  • Provide insider knowledge about the lodge, region, and travel tips.

• Collaboration

  • Liaise with lodge management on availability, promotions, and guest feedback.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in lodge or safari reservations.

• Proven ability to close bookings and upsell additional experiences.

• Strong understanding of the guest booking journey and personalised service.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Tech-savvy, comfortable with reservation systems and online communication tools.

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

• Passion for travel, wildlife, and the bush.

• Friendly, professional, proactive, flexible, reliable, and self-motivated.
