Job Overview

The Intern – Demand Planner role is a 12-month intensive internship within Macsteel’s Procurement division. The internship provides hands-on exposure to demand forecasting, inventory planning, data analysis, and supply chain coordination, while supporting the Demand Planning team with administrative and analytical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general administrative duties within the Demand Planning Department

• Support demand forecasting activities

• Assist in maintaining demand planning reports

• Collect, organise, and analyse planning and sales data

• Assist in developing product demand plans

• Identify customer demand patterns and support planning accordingly

• Support inventory and supply chain planning processes

Qualifications

Education

• National Diploma or Degree in:

  • Supply Chain Management

  • Logistics

  • Procurement

  • Operations Management

  • Industrial Engineering or related field

Experience

• No prior work experience required

• Must be available to complete 12 months of practical workplace training

Skills

• Strong numerical and analytical ability

• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)

• Basic understanding of forecasting and supply chain concepts

• Attention to detail and data accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools

• Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment
