π Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, analytical, and detail-oriented Management Accountant (CA(SA)) to play a key role in financial planning and performance tracking. This position offers the opportunity to influence decisions at an operational and strategic level. You will interact with multiple departments to deliver accurate financial insights, budget control, and forecasting analysis.

π§Ύ Key Responsibilities
As a Management Accountant at Mr Price, you will be expected to:

Lead the annual budgeting process for both head office and retail stores.

Monitor store performance against budgets and identify variances.
-
Prepare and present monthly financial performance reports and dashboards.

Analyze financial trends, provide key business insights, and adjust rolling forecasts.

Conduct IFRS 16 lease accounting reconciliations and support compliance.
-
Prepare period-end statutory financial packs for executive stakeholders.
-
Manage financial input into feasibility studies for new store developments.
-
Review pricing matrices to ensure forecasted profit margins are achieved.

Liaise directly with operations and other business units on all finance matters.

Support process optimization projects to drive cost savings and efficiency.

Forecast foreign exchange exposure and assess risk mitigation strategies.

Contribute to group reporting, audits, and financial planning initiatives.

Handle ad-hoc finance projects as assigned by senior leadership.
β Minimum Qualifications and Experience
-
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) β registration is essential.

Newly qualified or up to 2 yearsβ post-article experience (Big 4 or retail experience advantageous).

Excellent Excel skills and understanding of ERP/financial reporting systems.

Sound working knowledge of financial accounting and management accounting.

Familiarity with IFRS standards and compliance practices.

Ability to analyze complex financial data and explain it clearly to stakeholders.

Experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and reporting.
