🎯 Purpose of the Role:

As a Management Accountant – Supply Chain, you’ll be at the core of Sasol’s finance operations—responsible for accurate, timely, and strategic financial reporting. You’ll support operational decision-making through analysis, reporting, budgeting, and ensuring data accuracy within SAP. Your work will empower cost and profit center managers with actionable financial intelligence, directly influencing supply chain performance and profitability.


🔑 Key Responsibilities:

📊 Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and reconcile monthly financial and management reports using SAP.

  • Ensure accurate allocation of costs between GL accounts via SAP journal entries.

  • Track and report income statement performance—MTD, YTD, actuals vs. forecast.

💼 Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Support cost centre and BU managers in interpreting cost performance.

  • Maintain cost and profit centre structures to reflect BU/value chain requirements.

  • Identify and recommend cost-saving or value-adding initiatives.

🧾 Compliance & Governance

  • Execute monthly reconciliations for accounts under your control.

  • Ensure accrual accounts are substantiated with valid documentation.

  • Assist with the calculation and update of rehabilitation provisions.

🔧 SAP Data Management

  • Confirm accuracy and completeness of SAP data.

  • Maintain SAP master data to align with evolving business requirements.

  • Reconcile SAP vs. management reports for accurate performance tracking.

🤝 Collaboration & Best Practice Sharing

  • Partner with finance, supply chain, and operational teams to resolve discrepancies.

  • Stay informed on legal and regulatory updates impacting the business.

  • Drive adoption of best financial practices across business units.


🎓 Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • National Diploma in Finance (minimum)

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in finance or supply chain accounting

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance is advantageous
