Job Overview

The Marketing Specialist will support the execution of ABB’s product and segment marketing strategy within Distribution Solutions. This role focuses on enabling the sales team through high-quality marketing collateral, campaigns, product launches, and market intelligence.

Working closely with product management, subject matter experts, and sales teams, the role translates technical and business content into compelling customer-facing materials while ensuring alignment with ABB’s global brand standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing concepts in line with ABB branding guidelines

  • Create, edit, and manage marketing collateral across digital and print platforms

  • Coordinate and execute quarterly product launches and industry events

  • Manage production of brochures, catalogues, and sales literature

  • Support the sales team with customer-facing presentations and materials

  • Collaborate with product managers, sales teams, and creative partners

  • Conduct market, competitor, and trend analysis using available tools

  • Track global market insights and identify growth opportunities and gaps

  • Monitor market performance and recommend improvements to marketing strategies

  • Provide strategic market input to support mid- to long-term decision-making


Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing or a related field

Experience

  • 2–5 years’ experience in marketing, digital campaigns, or business strategy

  • Experience within the electrical or industrial sector is advantageous

  • Proven ability to develop marketing artwork and technical collateral

Skills

  • Proficiency in email marketing tools (e.g. Pardot, Constant Contact)

  • Strong project management and multitasking ability

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Strategic, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s Licence

  • South African Citizen
