Job Overview

The Marketplace Operations Graduate role is designed for analytical and detail-oriented graduates who are passionate about operational excellence and continuous improvement. The role focuses on analysing marketplace performance, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting the implementation of process improvements that enhance overall platform effectiveness.

Graduates will gain hands-on experience working with data, cross-functional teams, and real-world operational challenges within one of South Africa’s most dynamic e-commerce environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for process optimisation within marketplace operations

• Conduct data analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives

• Map current-state processes and design future-state improvements

• Support the implementation and monitoring of process enhancements

• Collect, analyse, and interpret marketplace performance data

• Develop reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators

• Identify trends and patterns to inform improvement recommendations

• Assist in planning and executing continuous improvement projects

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on operational initiatives

• Document processes, procedures, and project outcomes

• Support change management activities related to operational improvements

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, or a related field

Experience

• Recent graduate or early-career professional

• Exposure to data analysis, operations, or process improvement is advantageous

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools

• Basic knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean or Six Sigma advantageous)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organisational and time-management skills
