Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your role will involve a variety of tasks that are essential to RULA’s innovative projects. Key responsibilities include:
- 🛠️ Design Development: Create mechanical solutions and equipment for the agri industry, focusing on bulk materials handling.
- 🔧 Stress & Heat Transfer Analysis: Apply your expertise in stress analysis, heat transfer, and material strength to validate and optimize designs.
- 🖥️ Solidworks Proficiency: Produce detailed drawings, layouts, and specifications in Solidworks, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- ⚙️ Project Management: Lead projects from concept design through to commissioning, ensuring that all technical and project requirements are met.
- 🔄 Feasibility Studies: Conduct analytical studies to evaluate new technologies and provide design recommendations to improve efficiency.
- 🧑🔧 Liaison with Stakeholders: Work closely with suppliers, contractors, and third-party consultants to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.
- 📑 Documentation & Compliance: Manage product development documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- 🏗️ Site Visits & Supervision: Conduct site visits, oversee commissioning, and provide support during project execution and plant operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:
- 🎓 Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, particularly within the industrial or utilities sectors.
- 💻 Solidworks Expertise: Strong experience with Solidworks, including layout creation and detailing of designs.
- 🛠️ Mechanical Analysis: Proficiency in stress analysis, heat transfer, and material strength validation.
- 📊 Project Management: Proven track record of managing turnkey projects, from concept design through implementation and commissioning.
- ⚡ Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify engineering challenges and deliver creative, practical solutions.
