Job Overview
LIQID Medical is seeking a hands-on Mechatronic Engineer to join the product development team. This role is ideal for a versatile engineer capable of contributing across mechanical, electrical, PCB, and embedded systems. You will help design, prototype, test, and refine complex electro-mechanical medical devices, working closely with engineering and verification teams to ensure robust and manufacturable products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and refine mechanical and electro-mechanical subsystems
- Develop electronic circuits and PCB layouts for prototype systems
- Support hardware-software integration and embedded system debugging
- Build and test prototypes using 3D printing, machining, and custom fixtures
- Conduct root cause analysis, failure investigations, and iterative design improvements
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project leadership to ensure manufacturability and system integration
- Contribute to production-focused development: assembly optimization, process design, and early-stage scale-up support
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electronic, Biomedical, or related Engineering discipline
- Master’s degree preferred (highly advantageous)
Experience
- Demonstrated capability across mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems
- Experience or ability in PCB design and embedded system development
- Professional experience in R&D, robotics, or medical device development is a plus
- Familiarity with medical device standards (ISO 13485, FDA Design Controls) advantageous
Skills
- Strong practical hardware and electro-mechanical system integration skills
- Ability to independently design, assemble, test, and troubleshoot prototypes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of optoelectronic system development is advantageous
