Job Overview

The Merchandising Intern will assist the merchandising team in analysing product performance, planning promotional campaigns, and supporting product assortment strategies. This role provides hands-on exposure to the merchandising processes that drive sales and customer engagement in an e-commerce environment.

The internship is designed to help candidates build strong analytical, marketing, and business development skills while collaborating with multiple teams across the organisation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and executing merchandising strategies to improve product visibility and sales performance.

  • Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer behaviour to support product assortment decisions.

  • Support the creation and implementation of promotional campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.

  • Prepare reports and presentations on product performance and merchandising results.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and operations.

  • Contribute to ongoing merchandising projects and assist with ad-hoc initiatives within the team.


Qualifications

Education

  • N6 Certificate in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • No prior professional experience required, but academic projects related to marketing, merchandising, or retail analytics will be advantageous.

Skills

  • Strong written communication and persuasive writing abilities.

  • Confidence in presenting ideas and reporting campaign results to stakeholders.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and internal teams.
