🎯 Key Responsibilities

As our Merchandising Trainer, you’ll take ownership of the following:

  • Deliver hands-on product training on electronics, home audio, and homeware—covering features, usage, benefits, and troubleshooting.

  • Facilitate soft skills and sales technique training, including customer service etiquette and brand representation.

  • Design tailored training content: manuals, visual aids, and learner-specific materials.

  • Run on-site and virtual training sessions across multiple locations.

  • Keep accurate training records: attendance, evaluations, learner feedback, and follow-ups.

  • Provide refresher training and field team support for ongoing development.

  • Collaborate with sales, product, and brand teams to ensure training is aligned with business goals.

  • Measure and report on training effectiveness through observations and evaluations.

  • Assist with onboarding and induction for new team members.


✅ What You’ll Need to Succeed

📚 Education & Experience

  • Matric (essential)

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Training, Education, or related field (essential)

  • 2–3 years’ experience in training, learning & development, or sales training roles

  • Previous experience in electronics, audio tech, or homeware retail training is a plus

⚙️ Technical & Communication Skills

  • Technically savvy and able to confidently demonstrate and explain complex products

  • Proven experience delivering soft skills and customer service training

  • Fluency in English and at least one indigenous South African language (e.g., Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho)

  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (required for travel)
