Role Purpose
We are looking for a dedicated Mill Administrator to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. This essential role provides frontline service by welcoming guests and answering telephone calls in a professional manner. You will also offer crucial administrative support to Mill Managers and the HR department. Key Responsibilities
As a Mill Administrator, your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:
📞 Frontline Service & Reception
- Greet visitors and manage reception duties, providing excellent first impressions of the company.
- Answer and direct phone calls efficiently, ensuring that queries are addressed or redirected to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times when interacting with guests, clients, and staff.
🗂 Administrative Support
- Provide essential administrative assistance to Mill Managers and HR, including managing time and attendance records.
- Prepare reports and assist in compiling PowerPoint presentations when required.
- Ensure all office documentation is organized and filed in a precise manner.
📊 Time & Attendance Management
- Monitor and manage employee time and attendance records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in logging working hours.
💼 HR Assistance
- Assist HR with various administrative tasks, such as managing employee records, assisting with payroll-related documentation, and handling general HR inquiries.
Required Qualifications
🎓 Education
- Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
🧑💼 Experience
- At least 2 years of Administration and Reception experience.
- Experience in managing time and attendance is highly desirable.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with PowerPoint presentations.
Required Knowledge & Skills
🔧 Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Able to operate internal and external communication systems, including telephones.

- Exceptional telephone etiquette and a clear, pleasant voice.
