Job Overview

The Nursing Practitioner will build and manage a commercially viable in-store clinic by delivering professional, value-adding healthcare services in line with SANC regulations and company policies.

The role requires strong clinical capability combined with commercial awareness to grow a loyal patient base while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and grow the clinic’s services to build a loyal patient base

  • Deliver primary healthcare services including lifestyle screenings, immunisations, well-baby clinics, reproductive health, wound care, and minor ailments management

  • Provide phlebotomy services and health counselling

  • Refer patients to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals where appropriate

  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic patient records

  • Ensure payment collection for all services rendered

  • Manage clinic administration, financial reporting, and stock control

  • Monitor cold chain compliance and prevent stock loss or shrinkage

  • Establish professional healthcare networks to enhance service delivery

  • Plan and coordinate Health Days and promotional initiatives

  • Professionally manage adverse events and medical emergencies


Qualifications

Education

Essential:

  • Registered Nursing Practitioner with SANC

  • 3-year Diploma in Nursing or 4-year Nursing Degree


Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years’ practical experience across nursing disciplines, preferably in Community Health, Primary Health, and Midwifery

Desirable:

  • Experience with Unisolv and Allegra systems


Skills & Knowledge

  • Financial and commercial acumen

  • Strong integrity and ethical practice

  • Ability to work independently

  • Customer service orientation

  • Marketing and selling capability

  • Time management and organisational skills

  • Computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel)
