🩺 About the Role

The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner will oversee and manage all aspects of the on-site health centre, delivering primary and occupational health care services. This leadership role involves coordinating clinic operations, supervising staff, managing health programs, and promoting wellness initiatives for employees and community members.


πŸ“‹ Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Primary Health Care services to employees and community members.

  • Manage daily clinic operations, including staff supervision, administration, and scheduling.

  • Oversee Occupational Health programs to ensure compliance with legislation.

  • Promote preventative health and wellness through education, health screenings, and campaigns.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records and reporting.

  • Manage clinic budgets and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Liaise with external service providers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality health services.


πŸŽ“ Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Occupational Health Degree or Diploma

  • Registration with SANC is mandatory

  • Dispensing qualification is advantageous

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in community or rural health

  • Leadership or supervisory experience within a healthcare setting

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Primary and Occupational Health principles

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Computer literate (MS Office)

  • Professional, empathetic, and passionate about community health
