🧭 JOB OVERVIEW

Invictus Education Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Online Film Lecturer to join its creative academic team at SAE Institute. This fully remote role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction in Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, and Digital Film Post Production. The ideal candidate will combine strong academic credentials with extensive industry experience in cinematography and film production.

You will play a key role in shaping future filmmakers by delivering engaging lectures, facilitating discussions, and mentoring students in both creative and technical aspects of film.

🧩 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver online lectures in Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, and Post Production

• Teach subjects including Finance & Distribution and the Business of Film

• Guide students in cinematography and documentary development

• Facilitate single-camera location-based directing and multi-camera studio directing modules

• Develop and update learning materials aligned with industry standards

• Assess student projects and provide constructive academic feedback

• Support students in developing practical and industry-ready skills

• Participate in curriculum planning and academic meetings

🎓 QUALIFICATIONS

📘 Education

• Minimum NQF Level 8 qualification in Film, Cinematography, or related field

🎥 Experience

• At least 2 years lecturing experience

• Minimum 5 years recent industry experience in Cinematography

• Experience working with 16mm, 35mm, and digital formats

• Proven experience in production management or producing

• Experience in long-form, documentary, and online content creation
