As an Operational Basic Ambulance Assistant at ER24, your role is vital in the provision of timely emergency medical care. You will be expected to respond efficiently to emergency calls and deliver essential care under the supervision of more experienced medical personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Ensure Operational Readiness: Prepare all necessary equipment and vehicles to be ready for emergency calls at any time.

Required Education and Experience:

🔑 Essential Education:

• Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate is required.

🔑 Desired Education:

• Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines as published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) is a plus.
• If not compliant with HPCSA guidelines, you will be required to complete this training during your probation period, provided you are successful in your application.

🔑 Essential Experience:

• 6 months to 1 year of Road BLS (Basic Life Support) experience is required.

🔑 Desired Experience:

• 2 years of road BLS experience is preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

🛠️ Knowledge of Local Facilities & Routes: Understanding of local healthcare facilities, travel routes, and demographic areas for quick and efficient response times.
