Job Overview

The Manager Operational Finance will lead the site finance function, providing management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic business support.

This role is suited for experienced finance leaders with strong FMCG or manufacturing experience, looking to drive financial performance and operational efficiency at a site level.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting and control functions for the site and depots
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and SOPs
• Implement and optimise financial controls and audit processes
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
• Analyse financial data to support decision-making and performance management
• Supervise and develop site accountants and admin staff
• Drive asset management and stock control processes
• Identify cost-saving and waste reduction opportunities
• Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) applications
• Manage intercompany reporting and balancing
• Coach depot accountants to improve financial reporting quality

Qualifications

Education

• BCom Degree in Finance/Accounting (Essential)
• CIMA qualification (completed) (Essential)

Experience

• 5–7 years’ experience in a similar finance management role
• Experience as a Financial Manager in FMCG, bakery, or manufacturing environment (Essential)

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of financial accounting and control systems
• Strong costing, forecasting, and budgeting skills
• Experience with asset management and financial controls
• Strong leadership and team management ability
• Analytical thinking and trend analysis
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
