🧾 INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

Buffalo International Logistics is offering an Operations Excellence Internship for graduates interested in operational improvement within a logistics and supply chain environment. Interns will form part of a newly established Efficiency Committee, functioning as an internal operations governance and improvement unit, reporting directly to the Head of the Committee.

The internship focuses on process mapping, SOP development, KPI design, operational audits, and basic data analysis, with the objective of improving efficiency, execution quality, and accountability across business units.

🛠️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work on-site with operational teams to understand daily workflows

• Map end-to-end operational processes across key roles and functions

• Identify process gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and handover breakdowns

• Develop and standardise SOPs, workflow diagrams, and operating guidelines

• Review and interpret operational data reports and dashboards

• Identify key operational data points and performance indicators

• Perform basic data analysis to support operational reviews

• Link data findings to measurable operational outcomes

• Prepare structured, evidence-based operational reports

• Support management in defining clear, actionable KPIs

• Explain KPI logic, measurement methods, and operational impact

• Align departmental KPIs with execution processes

• Conduct on-site operational checks and execution observations

• Track KPI performance and identify deviations

• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions

• Support follow-up reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

• Communicate findings clearly and professionally to stakeholders

• Provide documented operational evidence to HR and management when required

• Maintain objectivity and independence in all reviews

🎓 QUALIFICATIONS

📚 Education

• Bachelor’s Degree (Completed or Final-Year Student)

🧠 Skills & Competencies

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret data reports

• Basic data analysis skills for operational reviews

• Proficiency in:

  • Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data organisation, simple analysis)

  • PowerPoint or similar reporting tools

• Ability to quickly learn internal systems and operational tools

• Fluent English (spoken and written)

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

• Professional communication and reporting ability
