🧭 Role Purpose

As Manager, Operations (Solutions), you will lead the daily operations of a key warehousing and logistics site. You’ll oversee all aspects of inventory management, inbound/outbound logistics, staff performance, health and safety compliance, and continuous process improvements in line with DSV’s and clients’ expectations.

This role requires strong operational leadership, warehouse system expertise, and a strategic mindset focused on KPIs, cost-efficiency, and team development.

🧠 Key Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• Diploma in Warehouse Management/Supply Chain (preferred)

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on warehousing experience in inventory management

Technical Competencies:

• Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• In-depth knowledge of WMS – CargoWrite

• Experience in retail logistics highly advantageous

Operational Experience:

• Proven experience in Inbound, Stock Management, Outbound/Order Fulfilment, Return processes

• Familiarity with SKU Consolidation, Batch/Serial Number Tracking, Expiry Management (FEFO)

• Cycle counting, ABC analysis, slotting and pick-face replenishment strategies

• CAPA implementation and variance investigations

Management & Compliance:

• Full managerial experience: Planning, Organising, Leading, Controlling, Monitoring

• Health & Safety (HSE) knowledge and internal audit experience

• Understanding of QMS: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001

• Budget control, supplier and client SLA management

• Strong HR/IR knowledge, including performance management and team development

📋 Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain operational performance aligned with SLAs and internal KPIs

• Drive continuous improvements in productivity, cost-efficiency, and process effectiveness

• Ensure full site compliance with DSV policies and local regulations

• Oversee inventory accuracy, system variance resolution, and space optimisation

• Manage daily inbound and outbound operations and stakeholder engagement

• Train, mentor, and manage teams to ensure high morale and productivity

• Build strong client relationships and deliver custom logistics solutions

• Oversee facility maintenance and ensure clean, safe operational conditions (5S)
