🔧 Key Responsibilities

As the Operations Manager, you will be accountable for the overall management and performance of broiler farm operations in the region. Your core duties will include:

• Leading and managing both company-owned and contract grower broiler farms in the West Rand area.

• Overseeing daily operations to ensure high-quality poultry production.

• Managing administrative functions, compliance, and reporting with a strong focus on efficiency and detail.

• Implementing and monitoring 20 Keys continuous improvement methodology across all farms.

• Ensuring biosecurity standards, animal welfare, and safety regulations are consistently maintained.

• Building and developing high-performance teams with excellent people management and communication.

• Tracking production metrics and utilizing data to make informed operational decisions.

• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive productivity and cost-efficiency.

✅ Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a professional with the right blend of technical knowledge, leadership experience, and administrative skill.

Minimum Requirements:

• A B. Agric / B.Sc Agric degree or relevant qualification in agriculture or livestock farming is advantageous.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in broiler production or poultry farming operations.

• Strong administrative and organizational skills – being an admin expert is key.

• Demonstrated managerial experience with a people-first leadership style.

• High level of computer literacy – comfortable using software tools and data systems.

• Must be figure-oriented with the ability to analyze and interpret production data.

• A self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
