Job Overview

DSV is currently recruiting an Operations Supervisor for its Contract Logistics division in Kempton Park.

This role is responsible for the oversight, execution, and quality control of all key warehouse operational processes, including stock integrity, inbound and outbound workflows, cycle counting, returns, team supervision, and client SLA performance.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced warehouse professionals with strong leadership and KPI management experience.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

Oversee daily warehouse operations
Manage inbound, outbound, returns, and cycle-counting processes
Maintain stock integrity and bin accuracy
Ensure wall-to-wall stock takes are completed
Monitor operational KPIs and SLA performance
Report non-conformances and incidents
Investigate incidents and implement CAPA actions
Identify and implement continuous improvements
Maintain housekeeping and operational standards

Team Leadership

Supervise team productivity and task execution
Train and multi-skill team members
Manage performance and conduct counselling
Handle staff queries and concerns
Promote team morale and engagement
Ensure attendance and job clocking compliance
Communicate company updates and operational feedback

Compliance & Safety

Enforce HSE and QMS standards
Ensure site rules are followed
Monitor correct use of equipment and facilities
Update SOPs and work instructions
Maintain process compliance documentation

Client & Reporting

Handle client operational queries professionally
Compile and submit operational reports
Provide reporting inputs to management
Attend management meetings and cascade feedback

Qualifications

Education

Grade 12 / Matric
Tertiary qualification advantageous

Experience

Minimum 4 years’ warehouse and supply chain experience
Experience in inbound, outbound, returns, and cycle-counting
Team leadership and supervisory experience
KPI and SLA management experience
HR and IR exposure

Skills

Good knowledge of WMS systems
Intermediate Excel
Strong communication skills
Leadership and conflict management
Deadline-driven mindset
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Process improvement skills

Added Advantage

FMCG or Pharma warehouse experience
GDP / GWP process control knowledge
Housekeeping, pest control, and compliance standards
