Job Overview
The Ops Specialist: Business Case Management is responsible for managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary projects and business cases across various operational areas.
The role includes compiling business cases, managing capital and OPEX projects, monitoring financial performance, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring project completion in line with governance and financial requirements.
Key Responsibilities
π Project Planning & Coordination

Analyse project requests and determine scope.

Compile objectives, strategies, and detailed project plans.

Evaluate costing and validate project expenditure.

Obtain authorisation and distribute final plans.
π Business Case Development
-
Identify and analyse requirements.
-
Consolidate technical and financial information.
-
Compile and submit capital and OPEX business cases.
-
Obtain necessary approvals and provide feedback.
π° Financial & Spend Management

Monitor project progress and spend plans.
-
Manage purchase orders, GRNs, PODs, and invoice payments.
-
Perform financial reconciliation and capitalisation.
-
Ensure capital finance efficiency.
π€ Stakeholder & Relationship Management

Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
-
Coordinate meetings and provide customer care.
-
Support capital allocation and Telkom-related projects nationally and internationally.
π Reporting & Documentation
-
Compile ad-hoc and specific reports.
-
Analyse data and ensure accuracy.
-
Archive completed projects and maintain documentation.
β Project Closure

Coordinate commissioning and acceptance testing.
-
Conduct customer implementation reviews and sign-off.
-
Complete financial reconciliation and project reviews.
Qualifications
π Education
-
NQF 6: National Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Certificate in Finance.
πΌ Experience
-
Minimum 3 yearsβ relevant experience.
-
Ex-/Current Telkom bursars and interns require at least 12 monthsβ relevant experience.
π Certifications
-
Finance-related qualification required.
π Special Requirements

Valid driverβs licence.
-
Willingness to travel.

Ability to work under pressure.
