Role Overview
PepsiCo is seeking motivated and reliable Packaging Attendants to join our Krugersdorp Bakery team. As a Packaging Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth flow of production by managing packaging damage, ensuring proper stock processes, and adhering to food safety regulations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing and food production industry while contributing to the success of one of the world’s leading brands.
Key Responsibilities
🔄 Packaging Management & Quality Control
- Identify and manage packaging damages on the production line to ensure continuous flow on the conveyor.
- Monitor and address stock processes to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
- Ensure quality control standards are adhered to, preventing defects and improving efficiency.
📈 Operational Efficiency
- Work closely with operators to achieve production targets and ensure shift goals are met.
- Assist in the production department as required, supporting breakdowns and minimizing disruptions to output.
- Follow all safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment.
🧹 General Housekeeping
- Maintain cleanliness in the workplace by following the 5S principles.
- Adhere to PepsiCo’s company values and uphold them in daily operations.
- Participate in general housekeeping to ensure the facility meets safety and cleanliness standards.
📞 Communication & Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any issues on shift, including breakdowns and production delays.
- Foster a collaborative working environment with colleagues and supervisors to ensure optimal production flow.
Required Qualifications
🎓 Educational Requirements
- Minimum of NQF Level 4 or Grade 12 or a similar relevant qualification.
💼 Experience & Skills
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience or a similar production-related background.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
🛠 Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform manual tasks and operate machinery safely.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical work.
