Key Responsibilities:

As a Packaging Engineer, your core responsibilities will focus on asset care, plant reliability, and team leadership to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the packaging hall. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do:

Asset Care:

🛠️ Develop and Implement Asset Care Plans for the packaging hall, ensuring your engineering team has the necessary competencies and skills.
📊 Audit Asset Care Compliance by reviewing performance and ensuring adherence to the asset care plan.
💸 Control Budgeting for asset care, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality maintenance practices.

Plant Reliability:

⚙️ Ensure Equipment Reliability: Lead the team in providing engineering support for optimal plant uptime and reliability.
🔧 Verify Maintenance Systems: Ensure that all maintenance routines are followed accurately and systems function optimally.
🛠️ Problem-Solving: Lead efforts in troubleshooting and solving maintenance issues to enhance operational efficiency.

Plant Optimization:

📈 Participate in Regional and Central Plant Optimization Trials: Provide guidance and support in improving plant performance.
🔍 Analyze Plant Performance: Identify potential improvements and optimize production processes.
⚙️ Continuous Improvement: Initiate and evaluate ongoing improvements in collaboration with production teams.

Team Leadership:

👥 Lead the Engineering Team: Guide, motivate, and develop the engineering team to achieve their goals.
📅 Conduct Regular Performance Reviews: Monitor team progress, provide feedback, and ensure ongoing skill development.
🤝 Cross-Skilling and Training: Ensure team members are trained and cross-skilled for versatility and growth.

Safety & Housekeeping:

⚖️ Ensure Safety Compliance: Uphold safety standards within the packaging hall, ensuring adherence to all legal and company policies.
🧹 Housekeeping Excellence: Promote and implement housekeeping practices, ensuring cleanliness and safety at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you’ll need the following:

🔸 BSc Engineering or Equivalent Degree
🔸 Government Certificate of Competence (Highly advantageous)
🔸 5+ Years’ Experience in Production Maintenance, particularly in asset management
🔸 Experience with High-Speed Packaging Lines (Preferred)
🔸 3+ Years’ Experience in People Management
🔸 Proven Experience in Plant Reliability and Optimization
