Kickstart your career in the beverage industry with Heineken South Africa! We are calling on unemployed South African youth to apply for the Heineken Beverages Packaging Learnership Programme 2025. This 14-month programme is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical skills, industry experience, and a nationally recognized qualification in Food & Beverages Packaging Operations.

Located at Heineken Beverages in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Eastern Cape, this learnership is perfect for individuals who are passionate about manufacturing and packaging processes and are eager to learn and grow within a global company.

What the Learnership Offers:

• A 14-month structured programme blending classroom learning and on-the-job experience

• A chance to earn a national qualification in Packaging Operations (NQF Level 3)

• Valuable exposure to world-class production environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn and apply machine operations and safety protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

• Execute quality control checks and first-line maintenance tasks

• Understand and implement HACCP principles and food safety procedures

• Operate various machinery including:

  • Washing

  • Filling

  • Sealing

  • Labelling

  • Palletizing and Depalletizing

• Attend and pass class assessments with a minimum of 70% achievement

• Uphold Heineken’s Code of Business Conduct

Who Can Apply:

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) and English

• Currently unemployed

• Willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required

• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of a production environment

• Good communication skills (both verbal and written)

• A strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and eagerness to learn

• Advantageous: Previous experience in a production or packaging environment
