📋 Job Overview

The Parts Warehouse Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Kathu Parts Department. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate stock control, supporting customer order fulfilment, and ensuring that all warehouse activities are carried out in line with safety standards, operational procedures, and performance targets.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily warehouse KPIs are achieved or exceeded

• Pick, bin, count, and issue parts accurately according to system records

• Maintain parts stock levels and reduce losses or damages

• Comply with customer order specifications within required time and quality standards

• Follow all warehouse SOPs and safety requirements

• Maintain high housekeeping and cleanliness standards

• Assist with general warehouse duties within the Kathu Parts Department

• Support accurate stock counts and reporting

🎓 Qualifications

Education

• Grade 12 / Matric (required)

Experience

• Previous warehouse, stores, or stock control experience (advantageous)

• Exposure to parts handling within an industrial or mining environment (advantageous)

Skills

• Valid driver’s licence

• Computer literacy

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

• Ability to follow instructions precisely

• Customer service orientation

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic troubleshooting ability and parts knowledge
