Solugrowth (Pty) Ltd, a leading business process outsourcing company, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll / HR Administrator to support HR and payroll functions for our client in the plastic manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
-
Process full-cycle monthly, fortnightly, and weekly payrolls using PaySpace.

Capture and audit all payroll changes: new hires, terminations, earnings/deductions.

Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely reporting and payments.

Administer and troubleshoot time recording systems (Jarrison Systems).

Ensure compliance with payroll-related legislation (UIF, PAYE, SDL, COIDA).

Respond to client payroll queries and maintain high levels of satisfaction.

Support payroll services across multiple branches, including KwaZulu-Natal.

Manage payroll debtors and ensure timely collections.
HR Administration
-
Assist with recruitment activities: job posts, interviews, onboarding.

Maintain employee records on HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy.

Monitor time and attendance, manage leave data, and address clocking issues.

Support training coordination and performance management processes.

Prepare HR documentation for audits, reports, and compliance.
Industrial Relations & Compliance

Provide administrative support during disciplinary hearings and IR processes.

Stay compliant with labour laws, bargaining council regulations, and health & safety standards.

Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in handling sensitive HR and payroll data.
Minimum Requirements

Matric + PaySpace Certification (Essential)
-
Diploma or Degree in Payroll Admin, Business Admin, HR, or similar
-
3+ years payroll experience, preferably in a BPO or shared services environment
-
Proficiency in PaySpace with multi-company functionality experience

Strong understanding of South African payroll legislation (UIF, PAYE, COIDA)
-
Solid HR administration experience within manufacturing is advantageous
-
Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
Technical Skills & Competencies

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PaySpace payroll software

Strong consulting and client service focus

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Detail-oriented with high levels of accountability

Effective under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines

Knowledge of BCEA, SARS compliance, and HR documentation
