Role Purpose

To provide support for an Executive and/or other senior management or respective business unit, performing office management and general administration duties to optimize efficiency and allow their focus on strategic and business-critical tasks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Support: Collaborate with the Group Executive and Leadership teams to provide seamless administrative support, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Calendar Management: Coordinate and manage calendars, schedule meetings, and prioritize tasks to optimize the productivity of the leadership team.
  • Communication: Act as a primary point of contact, handling emails, calls, and inquiries with professionalism, confidentiality, and kindness.
  • Travel Logistics: Organize and coordinate complex travel itineraries, accommodation, and logistics for business trips.
  • Meeting Preparation: Prepare agendas, presentations, and documentation for meetings, ensuring the executive is well-prepared and informed.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the execution of key projects, liaising with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or in a similar role (5 years +).
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • General business/commercial understanding.
    • Basic budgeting and payment principles and processes.
    • External vendor and stakeholder management.
    • Engaging at Executive/Board level.
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for people and customer experience.
    • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
    • Discretion and confidentiality are paramount.
  • Education:
    • A Grade 12 National Certificate with a post-Matric qualification.
  • Other:
    • Clear criminal and credit record.
