Are you an organized, friendly, and reliable individual who thrives in a people-focused environment? We’re looking for a Personal Assistant / Administration Assistant to support our Home Manager in ensuring the daily operations of the care home run efficiently and smoothly.

As the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Your responsibilities will span reception duties, admin coordination, and basic finance tasks—making you a cornerstone of our home’s operations and community spirit.


💼 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full reception support and be the welcoming face of the home for residents, families, staff, and visitors.

  • Assist the Home Manager with general administrative duties including filing, scheduling, and data entry.

  • Oversee basic financial tasks such as processing petty cash and coordinating invoices.

  • Ensure all visitors follow current infection control protocols, including screening and sign-in processes.

  • Coordinate Covid-19 testing where applicable and manage courier pickups for test samples and documents.

  • Support the planning and execution of home events such as milestone celebrations, team presentations, fetes, and other resident activities.

  • Work closely with the Activities Coordinator and contribute to the home’s vibrant and inclusive environment.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.


🎓 Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.

  • Previous experience in an administration or receptionist role (1–2 years preferred).

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (verbal & written).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.

  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.

  • Strong work ethic and respect for confidentiality.
