Key Responsibilities:

As a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant, your primary duties will include:

• Dispensing medication under the supervision of a registered pharmacist

• Ensuring accurate stock control and inventory management

• Performing administrative duties including recordkeeping and patient data handling

• Maintaining housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and professional pharmacy environment

• Providing excellent front shop customer service, assisting clients with general queries and product recommendations

What You Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Qualified as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar pharmacy or retail healthcare role

Essential Skills:

• Solid knowledge of pharmacy dispensing practices

• Familiarity with dispensing and ordering systems

• Strong focus on customer service and patient care

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Desirable Skills:

• Understanding of retail/FMCG operations

• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
