What You’ll Do

As a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant at MediRite, your core responsibilities will include:

• Dispensing Support: Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medication accurately and efficiently under direct supervision.

• Stock Control: Ensure proper stock levels, avoid shortages or overstocking, and manage expired medications.

• Customer Service: Engage with patients in a friendly and helpful manner, offering product knowledge and healthcare guidance.

• Administration: Handle prescriptions, manage documentation, and maintain records according to pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements.

• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment to ensure optimal safety and compliance.

• Frontshop Duties: Assist customers in the front-of-shop section with over-the-counter products and ensure smooth transactions.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications (Essential):

• Certified as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)

Experience (Required):

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar pharmacy role

Key Skills & Attributes:

• Strong knowledge of dispensing procedures and pharmacy systems

• Familiarity with stock management and inventory control

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Customer-centric with a positive and solution-driven attitude

• Understanding of Retail and FMCG (advantageous)
