About the Role

As a Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic), you’ll play a key role in supporting the pharmacist with dispensing, stock control, and pharmacy-related administrative duties. You’ll help ensure our customers receive exceptional service and that our pharmacy runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock Control: Manage and maintain stock levels, ensuring proper storage and rotation.

• Dispensing: Assist with the preparation and dispensing of medication under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

• Administration: Handle all pharmacy-related administrative tasks, including record-keeping and compliance with regulations.

• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

• Frontshop Service: Provide excellent customer service at the pharmacy counter, addressing customer queries and assisting with purchases.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Qualified as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant.

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a pharmacy environment.

Skills & Competencies

Essential:

• Strong customer service orientation.

• In-depth dispensing knowledge.

• Familiarity with dispensing and ordering systems.

Desirable:

• Understanding of Retail/FMCG operations.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced retail setting.
