Pharmacy Sales Assistant – Medirite Plus (Parklands, Western Cape)

Medirite Plus MH Parklands, part of the Shoprite Group, is looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Sales Assistant to join their vibrant retail team in Parklands, Western Cape. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused, dynamic, and hardworking individual to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of in-store retail operations within a reputable pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries in a professional and helpful manner.

• Manage Point of Sale (POS) transactions, process payments accurately, and handle refunds as per company procedures.

• Restock shelves and maintain organized visual merchandising displays according to store standards.

• Monitor product pricing and conduct regular price audits to ensure accuracy.

• Provide advice and product suggestions based on customer needs using up-to-date product knowledge.

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene on the sales floor.

• Stay informed about current promotions, offers, and new product arrivals.

• Escalate unresolved customer concerns to management in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)

Experience:

• At least 5 months of experience at a till point or POS in a retail environment.

• Hands-on experience in customer-facing retail sales and merchandising.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of customer service best practices.

• Familiarity with stock receiving and visual merchandising standards.

• Computer literate with basic POS system knowledge.

• Bilingual – preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English.

• Friendly, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Proficient in handling various payment methods including cash, cards, and vouchers.

• Great attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
