What You’ll Be Doing

As a Pharmacy Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a seamless shopping experience for customers. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing exceptional customer service with a welcoming attitude

• Processing sales and handling payments via the Point of Sale (POS) system

• Monitoring the shop floor and customer activity to minimize theft

• Assisting customers in identifying products suited to their needs

• Staying up to date on product knowledge, special offers, and promotions

• Maintaining clean, organized shelves and merchandise displays

• Conducting regular price checks and resolving discrepancies

• Handling returns and customer complaints professionally

• Performing general housekeeping duties and stock replenishment

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate

Required Experience:

• At least 5 months’ experience in retail point-of-sale (till operations)

• Previous retail sales experience

Skills & Competencies:

• Bilingual – Fluent in English and preferably Afrikaans

• Friendly, confident, and approachable personality

• Knowledge of various payment and POS systems

• Understanding of stock receiving and merchandising standards

• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to thrive in a high-paced, customer-facing environment
