🩺 Role Purpose

As a Phlebotomist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and ethical collection of medical specimens in compliance with industry regulations and professional standards. You will also provide excellent customer service and perform associated administrative and quality control duties within a phlebotomy setting.

🧪 Key Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy Procedures: Collect blood and non-blood specimens using standard techniques for laboratory testing and analysis.

• Client Interaction: Maintain a professional and caring relationship with patients while promoting the image of Ampath.

• Administrative Tasks: Handle documentation and system input to ensure accurate record-keeping and specimen tracking.

• Financial Transactions: Manage the cash flow at the care centre and process payments for services rendered.

• Quality Control: Carry out safety checks and adhere to quality standards and infection control protocols to ensure optimal service delivery.

✅ Minimum Requirements

• Professional Registration:

  • Valid HPCSA or SANC registration (mandatory).

• Education:

  • Relevant Phlebotomy or Nursing qualification.

• Experience:

  • Previous experience in a pathology lab, hospital, or clinical setting as a Phlebotomist or similar role.

• Location: eMalahleni, Mpumalanga

• Position Type: Full-Time, Flexible Work Week

• Hours: 45 hours per week (5-day work week)
