Role Overview

Eduvos is seeking a Physical Science, Mathematics and Chemistry Lecturer to join its Pretoria campus on a fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will lecture Applied Sciences modules while contributing to academic administration, quality assurance, and student support initiatives within the faculty.

This role is ideal for a motivated academic with strong subject expertise and an interest in higher education teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities

• Lecture Applied Sciences modules in Chemistry, Physical Science, and Mathematics

• Prepare and deliver structured, engaging academic content

• Develop and update lecture notes and additional study materials

• Set, moderate, and mark assessments in line with institutional standards

• Manage and support at-risk students academically

• Maintain accurate academic and administrative records

• Participate in quality assurance and academic review processes

• Assist with departmental administration and academic activities

• Uphold Eduvos’ academic policies, standards, and procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

• MSc in Chemistry, Physical Science, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline

Experience and Skills

• 1–2 years of relevant lecturing experience

• Sound knowledge of higher education teaching practices and processes

• Exposure to or involvement in academic research

• Strong subject-matter expertise across Applied Sciences

• Ability to manage assessments and academic administration effectively

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within an academic team
