Micro1 is on the lookout for a brilliant and scientifically rigorous Physics PhD professional to join our team as an AI Trainer. This remote, part-time opportunity lets you apply your physics knowledge to train and refine next-generation artificial intelligence systems.
You’ll collaborate with world-class AI engineers and data scientists, designing complex physical simulations, evaluating model performance, and guiding the evolution of adaptive learning systems with real-world physical logic at their core.
Key Responsibilities:

Model Evaluation: Develop and implement complex evaluation frameworks that test AI in dynamic, physically realistic environments.

Data Analysis & Validation: Use experimental data, simulations, and academic research to validate and enhance AI behavior.

Iterative Testing: Run robust, in-depth testing to identify and address inaccuracies in AI models.

Performance Scoring: Design scientific accuracy metrics and evaluation matrices to measure reliability, adaptability, and realism.

Feedback & Reporting: Provide thorough documentation and analytical feedback to optimize AI systems over multiple development cycles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

PhD in Physics or a closely related field such as Astrophysics, Mathematical Physics, Applied Physics, or Engineering Physics.

Strong knowledge of scientific research methodologies, statistical data analysis, and multivariable system modeling.

Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or Julia, especially for data-driven modeling and simulations.

Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.

Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to interdisciplinary teams and non-technical audiences.

Working knowledge of machine learning concepts (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning) is highly advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:

Practical experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Experience handling large datasets and preprocessing for model training.
