As a Plant Engineer at ALPLA Group, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and executing engineering projects across multiple Southern Africa (SOAF) plants. While primarily based in Lanseria, you will support local plant maintenance teams by ensuring efficient equipment implementation and ongoing improvements. Your responsibilities will include:
✔ Infrastructure & Utilities Management: Define, plan, and oversee the installation of utilities to ensure operational efficiency.
✔ Cost Analysis & Budgeting: Conduct financial assessments for facilities and utility equipment.
✔ Equipment Monitoring & Maintenance: Ensure that plant infrastructure operates within defined specifications, including electrical power usage.
✔ Contractor Management: Supervise and coordinate contractors for equipment installation, maintenance, and repairs.
✔ Project Coordination: Plan and execute infrastructure projects with clear objectives, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.
✔ Plant Layout & Compliance: Assist in designing, reviewing, and optimizing plant layouts while ensuring adherence to engineering standards and local regulations.
✔ Energy & Resource Management: Track and update ERP systems regarding energy and water consumption and related costs.
✔ Team Development: Collaborate with facility and maintenance teams to enhance infrastructure support.
What Makes You Great 🎯
Qualifications & Experience:
✔ Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
✔ Industry Experience: 5+ years in FMCG or related manufacturing industries
✔ Project Handling: Experience in managing projects from start to completion
✔ Project Management Expertise: Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word
✔ Technical Skills: AutoCAD 2D proficiency
✔ Team & Conflict Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills
✔ Lean Management: Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing principles
✔ Language Proficiency: Excellent written & spoken English
✔ Availability: Ability to work weekends & overtime if required
✔ Travel: Valid passport, willingness to travel across SSA plants
