🧾 Job Overview

The PPB COO Graduate Internship Programme is a 12-month structured programme designed to give unemployed graduates hands-on exposure in one of Absa’s most dynamic and strategic functions – the Personal and Private Banking Chief Operating Office (PPB COO). Interns will gain practical experience in fraud, risk, operations, data science, strategy, and change while contributing to real business outcomes.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Participate in on-the-job training across Fraud, Risk, Operations, Data Science, and Strategy & Change

• Handle real business challenges with accountability for defined deliverables

• Engage in structured coaching and mentorship from experienced professionals

• Support strategic initiatives and process improvement projects

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights into Absa’s operations and decision-making

📚 Qualifications

Education:

• Completed NQF Level 7 qualification (Bachelor’s Degree) or higher in:

  • Forensic Science & Technology / Criminology

  • Risk Management

  • BCom General

  • Mathematics / Applied Mathematics

  • Data Analytics / Data Science

  • Strategy / Strategic Management

  • BCom Informatics

  • Project Management

  • Business Analysis

Experience:

• Previous work experience advantageous but not mandatory

• Must be unemployed at the time of application
