What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to Discovery Health members, providers, hospitals, brokers, and employer groups.

  • Support in-hospital admissions and pre-authorisation through clinical assessments aligned with scheme benefits.

  • Communicate effectively across various platforms, especially telephonic servicing.

  • Stay up to date with product and process developments to ensure accurate responses.

  • Utilize digital tools to optimize customer service experiences.

  • Manage multiple queries and ensure first-time resolution.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex customer needs.


What You Bring: Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)

  • South African accredited Clinical Qualification (e.g., Nursing, Paramedical, or related fields)

  • At least 6 months’ experience in a customer service or clinical environment

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

  • Clinical knowledge in Anatomy and Physiology

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent time management and multitasking ability

  • Comfort working under pressure and across international time zones (UK business hours)

Competencies:

  • Customer-focused and solutions-driven

  • Excellent listening and analytical skills

  • Collaborative team player

  • Able to follow procedures and meet deadlines

  • Adaptable to digital and process changes
