About the Role:

As a Principal Software Engineer at nCino, you will play a critical role in leading the design, development, and testing of complex software systems and cloud-based tools. You will guide teams, drive innovation, and oversee the delivery of high-performance, scalable systems while mentoring emerging leaders. Your expertise in advanced technical concepts and architectural design will shape nCino’s technical strategy and contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

• ✅ Lead and design complex software systems, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

• ✅ Act as a technical visionary, driving cross-functional collaborations and innovations.

• ✅ Select technology stacks considering performance, scalability, and integration capabilities.

• ✅ Contribute to defining and maintaining coding standards and development processes.

• ✅ Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams to meet project goals.

• ✅ Lead architectural decisions using industry best practices and proven design patterns.

• ✅ Promote continuous improvement and help teams overcome technical challenges.

• ✅ Collaborate with customers to streamline requirements and improve the user journey.

• ✅ Develop strategies for automation and make informed decisions on system changes.

Requirements:

• 🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of experience in software engineering.

• 💻 Expertise in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and technology stacks.

• 🌐 Strong experience with web application development and scalable enterprise architecture.

• 🛠️ Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams.

• 🔄 Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• 💡 Specialized knowledge of industry patterns, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Desired Skills:

• ⚙️ Proficiency in client-side JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Knockout.

• ☁️ Advanced experience on the Salesforce Platform and developing managed packages.

• 🛠️ Familiarity with cloud-based development tools and modern automation strategies.
